Extraction

Ultra-Cold Ethanol Extraction

We exclusively extract hemp flower which is where the vast majority of cannabinoids and terpenes reside in the plant. These therapeutic compounds are selectively extracted using ultra-cold, food-grade ethanol. The ethanol is then removed through a series of vacuum-assisted distillations. This proprietary process was designed in-house by our team of chemical engineers.

Calm and Cool

so I got this this product for "take the Edge off" boost and it does but the other affect is that is reduced my desire for alcohol. My go to unwind at 5 is a few drinks while I cook dindin. If I take half a dropper at about 3pm I literally do not even need or want a beverage so I crack open a selzer and enjoy my CBG chillaxing.

That's fantastic to hear! It's amazing when a product not only helps take the edge off but also positively impacts other aspects of your routine, like reducing the desire for alcohol. It sounds like you've found a great way to unwind with our product. Thank you very much for your support in BATCH!

I will most likely get more.

First time user. Happy there are no side effects. Warm beverages are a better chaser as they break up the oil film in my mouth. Discovered I should start with a higher dose and take it on a schedule, in micro doses, in order to keep pain at bay. Thanks.

Excellent product and customer service

First of all, I just want to say that BEFORE I had placed an order, I had called them first just to ask for advice on which product to get. I spoke with Steve, and he was very helpful. I got my shipment fairly quickly. It was my first time trying CBG oil, or even CBD oil, and I was surprised at how pleasant I felt afterwards. I was able to relax yet still be productive, and I slept really well, with minimal neck/back pain like I usually do. Thank you guys so much!!

CBG Oil Introduction

One of the many cannabinoids that has been discovered in the cannabis plant is cannabigerol (CBG). While tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are the two most well-known cannabinoids, there has recently been a rise in interest in the possible advantages of the lesser-known cannabidiol (CBG).

CBG is known as the “mother of all cannabinoids” in reference that it is a precursor to many other cannabinoids. In other words, the hemp plant makes CBG before converting it into THC or CBD.

Compared to other cannabinoids, CBG is present in cannabis plants in lesser amounts. Only 1% of CBG can be found in most strains of the plant, compared to 20 to 25% of CBD or 25 to 30% of THC. Through selective breeding, this concentration can be gradually increased, however. This is also why it is known as a rare or trace cannabinoid, although there are even lesser abundant cannabinoids found in the hemp plant.

How Does CBG Oil Work?

CBG is processed by the body's endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is made up of molecules and receptors in our bodies that are responsible for homeostasis. Homeostasis is your body’s optimal state: not too hot, not too cold, not too hungry, not too full, not too sleepy, not too amped up, etc. CBG imitates endocannabinoids, the natural compounds our body makes, which work to keep your body in homeostasis.

The Entourage Effect

Despite CBD drawing the most attention in recent years, hemp contains over 500 compounds, including CBG, cannabinoids, terpenoids, flavonoids, and omega fatty acids; it's these additional compounds that help to form the basis of the entourage effect.

The term "entourage effect" was first introduced in 1999 after a study by Raphael Mechoulam and his team at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

This has nothing to do with the tv show (maybe in other circles, but not this one)! But it has everything to do with how a cannabinoid's effects and benefits change when presented with other cannabinoids/compounds.

The Entourage Effect is a term for the synergistic benefit derived from all compounds found in the hemp plant. CBD is just one beneficial cannabinoid but paired with THC, minor cannabinoids, terpenes, and other hemp compounds; a greater therapeutic benefit is achieved than any one compound in isolation.

CBD, THC, minor cannabinoids, and even some terpenes all interact with your Endocannabinoid System (ECS). Your ECS regulates a wide range of biological processes (sleep, appetite, memory, immune function, and pain response, to name a few). By pairing CBD with other compounds that interact with the ECS, it increases the effectiveness of CBD.

Dr. Ethan Russo is a leader in medicinal cannabis research and has shared multiple papers supporting the Entourage Effect. Many users have experienced little to no benefit from CBD isolate products but have been helped greatly by full-spectrum products due to the Entourage Effect.

How Does The Entourage Effect Impact The Body?

While there is still much to learn about how Cannabis affects the body, some study has been done on how the different compounds interact to have an impact.

A review of studies from 2011 found that there is some synergy between phytocannabinoids and terpenes, which could help with things like pain, anxiety, inflammation, and a number of other conditions.

The same study also discovered that CBD assisted in reducing some of the negative effects brought on by THC, suggesting that the two substances had a method of compensating for one another and increasing their combined efficacy.

How We Make Our CBG Oil

Our thorough process makes our CBG oil pure and effective. This is our process to create the highest-quality CBG extracts and products:

Step 1: It All Starts On The Farm

Neillsville, WI is our fertile grow location. It's a rural town nestled next to the Black River, rolling hills, and home to generations of farmers.

Rollin and his family have been farming in Neillsville, WI, for three generations!

Umpqua is our hardy hemp strain. It has a stellar cannabinoid and terpene profile, making it the perfect choice for a full-spectrum hemp product.

Step 2: Extraction Time

In small batches, we take our Umpqua hemp and extract the CBD oil by soaking it in a cold ethanol bath. This process selectively extracts the beneficial compounds in the hemp plant.
+ Food Grade Ethanol Bath
+ Centrifuge & Decarboxylation Process
+ Raw or Crude Hemp Extract Produced

Step 3: Formulas By Experts

Our CBG specialists and certified chemists formulate every blend you see at BATCH. Each blend was rigorously developed through hundreds of iterations to find the most effective recipe.

Once our CBG extract is ready, we blend it with organic carrier oils and terpene blends. These are the tasteful and effective CBG oils you will fall in love with.

This is where the magic happens.

Step 4: Internal Testing

To make sure our blends are up to snuff, we first create an internal test report. This ensures that our products are full of rich cannabinoids.
+ Federally Compliant - less than 0.3% THC
+ Full Potency - what the label says is what you're getting

Step 5: Finished Products

Once the formulas are tested and good to go, we bring the CBD product to completion. We fill and label our bottles with an eye for detail. Each container has a tamper-evident device for your safety.
+ Glass tincture packaging
+ Ethically sourced hemp
+ Product boxes made from locally sourced hemp paper
+ Sustainable Kraft Mailers

Step 6: Third Party Tests

Once manufactured, we send BATCH products off to third-party labs for further testing. Here's where we test for contamination and validate our internal tests. It is critical to perform these tests as hemp is a bio-accumulator.
+ Confirm internal potency tests
x No Lead, Arsenic, Cadmium, Mercury
x Free of 60+ different pesticidesx Free of 20+ harmful solvents
x No mycotoxins, microbials, or bacteria

Which CBG Product Should I Try?

Tinctures

If you're looking for a faster-acting form of CBG with the freedom to manipulate or increase your dose in milligrams, this might be the right product for you.

Topicals

Used on the body for localized support, people choose topicals for their benefits without ingesting the CBG. This method is best with repeated use.

Gummies

These are often good options for people who do not like the taste of CBG, or who prefer it to be pre-dosed.

Softgels

These are great for avoiding the "planty" taste while ingesting the benefits of CBD and for those looking to pre-dose their CBD.

What is Cannabigerol (CBG)?

CBG (cannabigerol) is a minor cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. It is the parent molecule from which other cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, are synthesized. CBG was first identified all the way back in 1964 by Raphael Mechoulam, but minimal research on CBG has occurred.

CBG is believed to have potential therapeutic effects, but research on its effects is still in the early stages. Some studies suggest that CBG may have anti-inflammatory, analgesic (pain-relieving), and neuroprotective properties. However, more research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits and risks of CBG.It is important to note that CBG, like all cannabinoids, is a non-psychoactive compound and does not produce intoxicating effects on the brain and body when consumed. It is legal in all 50 states.

It is important to consult with your healthcare professional before using CBG or any other cannabinoid.

Is CBG Stronger Than CBD?

In terms of strength, don’t think of one as necessarily “stronger” than the other. Put simply, they are merely different in how they interact with your ECS. CBG and CBD will both interact with your ECS in a slightly different way leading to potentially different effects. However, by combining CBD and CBG, BATCH offers a more robust cannabinoid product, which is something to consider when looking at the right product for you.

And getting to the core of both cannabinoids, we can see CBD and CBG as both being non-intoxicating cannabinoids, which means that they won't get you high. They also both interact with the same receptors in the body. According to a 2018 study, they appear to have anti-inflammatory effects.

CBG seems to have some separate functions and health benefits from CBD. The main difference between CBG and CBD comes down to the level of research available. However, with CBG becoming more popular, there's a high likelihood of research being done on it.

Certificate Of Analysis

There are a growing number of CBG products and brands on the market. Regardless of the brand you choose, search for products that have a certificate of analysis (COA). A COA guarantees that you are aware of the precise amounts of CBG and other cannabinoids in the CBG product you purchase. This enables you to adjust your dosage to your desired amount and prevent any negative side effects associated with taking too much.

These products should ideally also be examined by an independent testing facility, also known as a 3rd party lab. For instance, at BATCH, all products undergo internal testing that complies with federal regulations in order to obtain a complete cannabinoid profile. Additionally, independent third-party labs test each and every BATCH product to verify potency and check for pollutants, including heavy metals and pesticides.

How To Use CBG Oil Products

There are various ways to consume CBG oil and tradeoffs with each method. CBG can be administered in the same ways CBD is including: tinctures, capsules, gummies, and vapes. As opposed to pre-measured capsules, tinctures and oils come in dropper bottles, so you'll have to calculate the dosage based off the amount of oil in the dropper.

Sublingual Administration

Choose sublingual administration if you want the oil to enter your body quickly and effectively. 0.5 - 2 mL of oil are applied under the tongue during sublingual administration, and after the oil has had time to absorb, the oil is then swallowed.

The bioavailability of this cannabinoid needs to be further investigated, but medications taken sublingually enter the bloodstream quicker and more completely than compounds having to go through your entire digestive tract.

Many people favor this administration method.

Steps To Taking CBG Oil Sublingually

Step 1: Shake the container

Step 2: Determine the appropriate dosage. Put a particular amount of drops under the tongue using the dropper, keeping the mouth away.

Step 3: Hold the oil under the tongue for 60 seconds before swallowing.

Allow the oil to absorb fully before swallowing it. If you can, hold it under the tongue for 2 minutes because once you swallow, the rest is absorbed through the digestive tract. Typically, you should feel it kick in within 15-30 minutes after taking it.

Mix With Food And Drinks

From snacks to smoothies and coffee, you may add your CBG oil to a variety of foods and drinks. Some individuals blend this oil with CBD or use it in cooking.

You can blend a few teaspoons of this oil with olive oil while making salads. You can add a few drops of this cannabinoid to cookies and brownies to add flavor.

Many CBG oil combinations taste great when mixed with your preferred beverage. You can put a few drops in your preferred cocktail or add it to your morning tea or coffee.

Oral Administration (Gummies)

Another choice is to instantly “eat” the CBG in the form of a CBG gummy. However, this route of delivery has a problem because many substances decrease their bioavailability when consumed.

But, some vitamins, such as vitamin B, are an exception since they must be swallowed in order for the liver to activate them. Oral ingestion not only reduces the potency but also delays the start of effects.

The caliber of the oil and the product's pH stability are just two factors that affect how well cannabinoids are absorbed. Additionally, it might be challenging to distinguish between different cannabinoids and terpenes because most formulations contain a number of them.

Apply On Your Skin

CBG oil is simple to use topically, either straight on the skin or infused into lotions and balms.

The secret is to use it liberally. Tinctures should not be applied topically since they contain alcohol, which can irritate and dry up the skin.

CBG Oil FAQ

Which Is Stronger? CBD or CBG?

CBD and CBG are both non-intoxicating cannabinoids, which means that they won't get you high. They also both interact with the same receptors in the body. According to a 2018 study, they appear to have anti-inflammatory effects.

However, CBD seems to have some separate functions and health benefits from CBD. The main difference between CBD and CBG comes down to the level of research available. However, with CBD becoming more popular, there's a high likelihood of research being done on it.

Does CBG Help You Sleep?

Some research may point to cannabinoids such as CBD and CBG as effective sleep aids. However, these compounds are even more effective when used together. This concept is known as the Entourage Effect. Through the Entourage Effect, cannabinoids synergize to keep your body balanced by engaging with chemical receptors throughout your Endocannabinoid System.

However, depending on the reason you suffer from insomnia and your physiological profile, the effect of CBG is not guaranteed. Each person reacts differently, and your lifestyle also has a huge impact on the quality of your sleep. In case you decide to try CBG Oil for improved sleep, it is essential that you give yourself the best chance to do so: exercise outdoors, eat light in the evening, avoid excessive alcohol intake, relax, and keep stress away as much as possible. And above all, talk with your doctor or therapist, who can give you additional advice: be aware that CBG, like CBD, can interact with certain medications and can sometimes even inhibit their effect.

Is CBG Oil Legal?

Yes, like some other cannabinoids, CBG is completely legal, provided that it is derived from a cannabis plant that contains less than 0.3% THC. THC has psychoactive effects and is the most important factor in legality because it contains psychoactive properties that are potent above 0.3%. Another reason to patronize trusted sources.

How Does CBG Oil Make You Feel?

CBG may have anti-anxiety, stress-reducing, and antidepressant qualities similar to those of CBD. This is comparable to some of the benefits of CBD, but cannabigerol modulates emotion and emotional memory processing. The chemical also works to prevent an increase in serotonin levels, which can assist with sadness.

How Long Does It Take For CBG Oil To Work?

A CBG oil taken sublingually will get to work quite quickly (15 minutes) and last for a shorter amount of time (2-3 hours), while CBG gummies will take a longer time to kick in (45 minutes) and have longer lasting effects (up to 7 hours).

Does CBG Take Away Your High?

Neither CBG nor CBD are euphoric cannabinoids. As a result, they won't have any psychoactive effects or give you a "high." In fact, CBG and CBD can counteract THC's intoxicating effects.

Final Thoughts On CBG Oil

Although CBG is gaining popularity, research on it cannot be compared to that of other cannabis products. Although it might have a number of advantages, little is known regarding its negative effects or potential drug interactions. It might be simpler to locate high-quality full-spectrum CBD oils, which should contain some CBG if you're eager to test CBG. Just be sure to speak with your doctor beforehand if you take any medications or have a medical issue that needs to be addressed.
